The Rocco Effect - Thought Exercise

With our thoughts we make the world. - Buddha

The Rocco Effect - Thought Exercise

Our thoughts determine our reality.  In order to improve our reality, it makes sense to start with our thoughts.   This simple exercise tricks you into believing that you are surrounded by friends/loved ones.  Being surrounded by loved ones is bound to boost your mood.

We also act differently depending on our mood.  Your actions are going to gather better results when your feeling great.  Wishing the best for others and acting in a way that shows this puts the odds more in your favor that you do grow real friendships and get better outcomes.

1. Wish the best for 10 people each day/
2. Notice how you feel afterwards

The Rocco Effect - Focus

Always remember, your focus determines your reality. - George Lucas Focus is the key to a better life. What we focus on is what we see, what we see determines your reality. To see this for yourself watch the 'selective attention test' on Youtube. Since focus is directly linked to our reality, does it make any sense to focus on the negative? Of course not. It makes sense to focus on solutions you can take to make things better, but that's a positive, don't confuse the two. Should a negative thought creep into your head tell it with as much passion an emotion as you can to 'F**k Off!' and replace it with the exact opposite or a solution. e.g 'I suck, no one will ever love me' changes to 'I'm awesome. Everyone loves me' (both are untrue, but one leads to a much better outcome.), What we focus on will become our reality, stop focusing on being a loser and start focusing on being the hero you where born to be Comic Video Reading Task For the next ...

The Rocco Effect - Values

It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are. ― Roy Disney Values are the reason why somethings make us happy and others make us sad. If you value the truth, even a white lie, in the hopes to make you feel better, would hurt you. If you value family, only for them to pick friends over you, that would hurt. Often we feel this way, without knowing why and this leads to a lot of stress and questioning ourselves.  Once you know your values, knowing what choice to make is a lot easier. You choose whatever choice is closest to your highest values. Even in failure, you can rest happy, knowing that you made the right choice. Comic Video Reading Task 1.
