The Rocco Effect - Thanks

The Rocco Effect - Thanks

When training a dog criticism and praise are the keys to growth.  We criticize to reduce the likelihood of actions recurring and praise to enhance the odds.   Humans aren't that different.

Criticism seems to come a lot easier to some people. Even if the result is failure, effort should always be praise (Considering their aim was to get a good result).  Effort is the key to growth.  Praise people when they try to do well and they'll be much more likely to try again, fail or criticize and they'll soon stop trying.

Task

1. Praise one person for their effort, each day

2. How did that make you feel?

3. Take note on if they aim to do good again

Bonus - Everything is on loan

Everything is on loan.   Our possessions, our friends, family, even our own lives.  If we're lucky the loan is repaid after we die, but we've all had loans retuned before we where ready or worse, before we were aware it was a loan. Whenever you are in a state of truly loving life remind yourself 'This is all on loan.'  Be grateful and take in all you can, cause one day, memories is all you'll have left.

Often we feel this way, without knowing why and this leads to a lot of stress and questioning ourselves.  Once you know your values, knowing what choice to make is a lot easier. You choose whatever choice is closest to your highest values. Even in failure, you can rest happy, knowing that you made the right choice. Comic Video Reading Task 1.
