The Rocco Effect - The Best Future

Don't Judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant. - Robert Louis Stevenson

Where we're going is more important than where we are. Where we're going determines everything, our thoughts, actions and our mood. When life's going to hell we think negatively, act in accordance, and feel rubbish. When things are getting better we think clearly, our actions keep pushing us forward and we feel awesome.

We unconsciously know this. We feel, think and act differently without realising why, only too look back later, connect the dots and see that life was moving in the wrong direction. To become more conscious visualise the best and the worst possible futures. If you notice yourself feeling, acting or thinking negatively ask if you're moving towards the best or worst future, then make the changes needed to get back onto the right path.

Bonus - Everything is on loan

Everything is on loan.   Our possessions, our friends, family, even our own lives.  If we're lucky the loan is repaid after we die, but we've all had loans retuned before we where ready or worse, before we were aware it was a loan. Whenever you are in a state of truly loving life remind yourself 'This is all on loan.'  Be grateful and take in all you can, cause one day, memories is all you'll have left.

The Rocco Effect - Values

It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are. ― Roy Disney Values are the reason why somethings make us happy and others make us sad. If you value the truth, even a white lie, in the hopes to make you feel better, would hurt you. If you value family, only for them to pick friends over you, that would hurt. Often we feel this way, without knowing why and this leads to a lot of stress and questioning ourselves.  Once you know your values, knowing what choice to make is a lot easier. You choose whatever choice is closest to your highest values. Even in failure, you can rest happy, knowing that you made the right choice. Comic Video Reading Task 1.
