Do you find yourself thinking depressing thoughts, more than you'd like?  Take time to notice your surroundings friends, family, news ect  Our minds soak up what we surround yourself with so stop surrounding yourself with negativity and start surrounding yourself with positivity.  You'll be amazed at how quickly your thoughts change, for the better. The Rocco Effect - Small Favor

Do you want your enemies to treat you better?  Try getting them to do you a small favour, failing that, just say 'Thank you for (something they did) that really helped me a lot'.  Who do you help? people you like.  By thanking them for doing favours you are persuading them into believing that they do like you.  Give it a go and share your results in the comment section. It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are - Roy Disney I get it, knowing 'Why your here' is a tough thing to know.  So choose your own meaning, at least till one chooses you.  Meaning gives you a reason to push through each day, no matter how bad it gets.  Meaning means you matter. Task 1. Write down as many things that you value. 2. pick the top 5 and order them 1 - 5 3. Ask yourself 'What can I do, daily to honor each of these values?' Video

The Rocco Effect - Getting the good from the bad

There is always something positive to take from bad situations.  Many people see this as 'Everything happens for a reason' I see it as 'Make the most out of all situations' it's up to you to search deep down ad find the good.  So focus, and get the good out of whatever is troubling you. Task 1. Write down bad situations you've been through. 2. Write down all the good that came out of those situations. 3. Remind yourself of these times whenever you're going through hell. 4. Keep going till your able to find the good from this situation as well Video

Qualities

What qualities do you have that your proud of? Are you kind, helpful, loyal, honest, courageous, adventurist?  Write as many as you can down.  Read and remind yourself every morning for the next week about how awesome you are.  Close your eyes and remember times you acted the qualities out.  Notice how you feel during this..Notice your posture as well.  Walk out into the world with your shoulders back and feeling , awesome and do 1 thing that  will highlight 1 of your qualities.

Ask better questions

Stop asking yourself 'why is my life so bad?', 'Why does no one like me?' 'Why do I fail at everything?' and focusing on all the crap, Instead ask yourself 'How can I make my life better?' 'What can I do to be more attractive?' 'What are some smaller tasks I can easily win at?' these types of questions will allow you to think of solutions.  Focusing on what you can do to improve and actively moving towards a better future (even if it's slow) will lead to a much happier and more meaningful life. Try it for a few days and notice how you feel after answering these questions.  

Fix the small problems

If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. -  William H. McRaven This has multiple benefits for 1 fixing problems makes your world a better place, living in a better world should make you happier.  It also serves as a small win.  It's an easy task but do enough small things and you'll start feeling proud and happier.  And it's not just you who lives on this world, if your help affects others then your likely to get more and more people who like you. If you notice a small problem (or something that could lead to a problem) solve it. See some mess? clean it. Dishes pilings up? Clean them and put them back? No clothes? Clean them. By solving the small problems it gives you more time to do the things you want. You'll have accomplished something so you will feel pride /happy. Gratitude - The three A's of Awesome

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough - Oprah Winfrey One of my favorite Ted talks if you're depressed or wanting to avoid depression it's worth checking out. Task - check out his website ( http://1000awesomethings.com ) Then write your own list of things you are grateful for (Even if it's just 1 thing each day). Add to the list, or just read it every morning to make sure you start the day in the right state of mind. The idea is to start to notice just how much you have to be grateful for, If your grateful it's a lot harder to be depressed. If you can't appreciate what you have you'll never be happy so learn how to appreciate all you have.
